This aerial photo records the post-disaster scene of Guanaja, Islas de la Bahia, Honduras. In 1998, Hurricane Mitch swept across the area, almost razing the entire coastal village to ruins. Most residential buildings were damaged with roofs torn off, debris scattered all over the shore, and fishing boats at the wharf were also affected. The image intuitively shows the devastating damage caused by strong hurricanes to local residents.
