This is an excellent entry from 2010 National Geographic Global Photography Contest China Division, shot by photographer Li Yuheng at Lake Wanaka, New Zealand. Heavy dark clouds form sharp contrast with bright skylight leaking from cloud gaps. Distant dark mountains are half hidden in mist, the foreground lake has fine ripples, and coniferous forests and autumn colored trees on the lakeside are lit by side light, presenting stunning magnificent natural scenery of New Zealand's South Island.
