This is an excellent entry from the 2010 National Geographic Global Photography Contest China Region, shot by photographer Hu Na. It captures the unique visual effect on flowing water: clear plant reflections are twisted by ripples, forming lines similar to Chinese ink wash art. The soft light and low-saturation gray-black tone present a unique abstract oriental aesthetic from ordinary natural waterscape.
