This is an excellent entry from 2010 National Geographic Global Photography Contest China Region, created by photographer Lao Jing. Shot from top-down macro perspective, the dark background highlights the fresh green lotus leaf dotted with crystal water droplets. A piece of transparent thin ice at the leaf center reveals the radial veins under it, with a blooming pink-edged white lotus flower on the upper right, presenting the pure elegant beauty of aquatic plants.
