This classic 1838 watercolor is created by famous Scottish landscape painter David Roberts, depicting the ruins of Temple of Tafa in Nubia, Egypt. Exquisitely carved ancient architectural fragments scatter on the warm desert wilderness, remaining temple walls and columns stand in the center of the wasteland, with angular sandstone mountains in the background.
