This is an excellent entry from 2011 National Geographic Global Photography Contest China Region, shot by Xu Yiyuan at Erhai Lake, Dali, Yunnan. The famous ancient Little Putuo Temple sits on a tiny islet, its silhouette perfectly reflected on the calm lake. Distant mountains are veiled in thin morning mist under clear blue sky, presenting tranquil and ethereal oriental natural scenery.
