Xinjiang Kanas River Valley Autumn Golden Forest Landscape

This is an excellent work from the 2011 National Geographic Global Photo Contest China Division, shot by photographer Ge Liang at Kanas River Valley in Xinjiang, China. The turquoise river rushes through the canyon, flanked by dark green coniferous forests and golden autumn birch trees, with a simple log cabin on the hillside. It perfectly presents the gorgeous and tranquil autumn scenery of northern Xinjiang.
