The undulating red-orange sandstone is covered with smooth light striped textures, like wave patterns outlined by natural strokes. A few drought-tolerant desert shrubs are scattered on the rock slope, and the clear deep blue sky sets off the whole geological landscape extremely grand and primitive. This cross-bedded sandstone is a precious geological relic formed by compaction and cementation of ancient dunes.
