This is a work from the 2012 National Geographic Global Photography Contest China Region, shot by photographer Zhou Yongsheng. The red-billed blue magpie spreads its wings fully, about to land on the soft white snow. Natural light clearly outlines the translucent feather texture, with blurred dark blue winter forest in the background, dotted with dead branches with orange residual fruits on the left. It vividly shows the vivid beauty of winter natural ecology.
