National Geographic Ray Underside Human Face Macro Closeup

This is a marine macro documentary photography work from National Geographic China's 2007 Vision of Earth series. The translucent underside of a ray forms a wonderful human face-like visual illusion. The two upper holes are its spiracles, the middle arc structure is its mouth, and the golden granular structures on both sides are its gill tissues. The work is full of fantasy and mystery with high popular science value.
