Narwhals With Spiral Tusks Arctic Ice National Geographic Photo

This is a polar wildlife photography work taken by National Geographic photographer Paul Nicklen in August 2007. Several narwhals with iconic spiral tusks poke their heads out from the water gaps of Arctic floating ice, with snow-dusted tundra and clear blue sky in the background. The narwhal's tusk is actually a specialized canine tooth, a rare iconic wild animal in the Arctic.
