This is a work from 2012 National Geographic Global Photo Contest China Region, shot by photographer Liao Xianhua. It shows the classic landscape of Li River in Guangxi, China. At early morning, sunlight breaks through thick clouds, mist wraps around karst peaks, the river surface glows softly, presenting a tranquil poetic scene just like traditional Chinese ink painting.
