This is an excellent entry from the 2011 National Geographic Global Photography Contest China Region, photographed by Lin Xu. Shot from aerial perspective, it shows the unique landscape of China's Loess Plateau after ecological management. Rolling hills are covered with lush green terraced fields, winding mountain roads twist like white ribbons on the gully-dotted land, distant mountains are veiled in light blue haze, with scattered houses and power towers dotted around. The magnificent scene fully presents the vibrant vitality of the Loess Plateau after ecological restoration.
